Columnist Dean Ritchie has copped a torrent of abuse from both sides of the ditch after daring to write off the Warriors as premiership contenders.
Writing in his weekly Bulldog’s Bite column, Ritchie said of the undefeated Warriors: “Let’s sit back and wait for the great Kiwi collapse. It will be seismic and spectacular.
“This is the same club which has accepted failure and mediocrity since 1995.
“A team that has been soft, disinterested and fragile. Their issues are deep-seated around culture and history.
“I am not convinced the Warriors can suddenly find success; somehow discover a winning passion or formula over an entire season.
“The Warriors will crash and burn. They won’t make the finals.”
Well, didn’t that fire up Warriors supporters.
They gave it to Ritchie in spades, many resorting to abusive language to get their point across.
Standard Aussie tall poppy syndrome.. always fucking writing about the negative rather than praising the positive.. shameful journalism..

One upset fan wrote on Bulldog’s Facebook page: “Go fu*k yourself you fat dog
Another reached into his deep reservoir of literary wit but still couldn’t get past one word, simply writing: “Grub.”
