Cut out processed foods like Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and David Williams
NRL player Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, from the Sydney Roosters, tried out the raw food diet along with a number of other players from the club. For 14 days, Waerea-Hargreaves ate a strict diet of raw food, including vegetables, meat and seafood. He said that by the end of the 14 days, he had lost a few kilos and felt that he had more energy and was strongerii. Waerea-Hargreaves isn’t the only NRL player feeling the benefits of eating raw food; David “Wolfman” Williams from the Manly Sea Eagles has also taken on the challenging dietiii. Williams ate raw eggs, meat, fish and vegetables during the 2013 season and claimed the diet had him feeling healthier than ever. A raw food diet is an extreme example, but by cutting out unprocessed food and stripping their diets back to basics, these NRL players felt the benefits.
Keep exercise simple and enjoyable like LeBron James
LeBron James might be an NBA champion, but he keeps his cardio workouts simple. James is a huge fan of cycling outdoors, which improves his cardio fitness and conditioning, and he has reportedly even cycled to and from NBA gamesiv. Putting the effort in behind the scenes to improve his fitness has obviously paid off for James, but his routine doesn’t require expensive gym equipment. Cycling or jogging outside is a great way for anyone to maintain fitness.

Maria Sharapova may have a singular focus on the tennis court, but her food philosophy involves not being too hard on herself and not denying herself the foods she loves. The four-time Grand Slam champion believes in maintaining her health and fitness goals without sacrificing happiness.
